About the position

KBR is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Manager to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/XP-OZ/OZJ Maintenance Systems Program Management Office. This role is critical in leading weapon systems acquisition activities and providing expert guidance and recommendations that shape acquisition strategies for the Systems Program Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing program documentation to support Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures, as well as the ability to execute cost, schedule, and technical aspects of the program effectively. The Senior Acquisition Program Manager will play a pivotal role in artifact development and preparing senior leadership-level briefings. This position demands a high level of expertise in DoD weapon system management, with a focus on ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Travel may be required as part of the role, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in various situations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weapon systems acquisition activities.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to shape acquisition strategies for the Systems Program Office.
  • Develop program documentation to support Requests for Proposal, Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies.
  • Manage USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee cost, schedule, and technical execution of programs.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree.
  • 15 years of experience in DoD weapon system management.
  • Experience with ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions.
  • Knowledge in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel.
