About the position

The Senior Actuarial Analyst at Point32Health will support financial forecasting and pricing for Medicare Supplement Products and Medicare Part D. This role involves collaboration with finance departments for monthly closings and reporting, as well as engagement with various business partners during the annual financial planning cycle. The position offers opportunities for professional development through the Actuarial Student Program, including job rotations and support for pursuing Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis and data needs for financial and actuarial functions including rate reviews and financial planning.
• Conduct trend analysis, product development, and provider reimbursement analysis.
• Participate in all aspects of projects from planning to presenting findings, focusing on the Medicare Preferred population.
• Utilize software packages such as SAS, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint for project execution and reporting.

Requirements

• College degree required
• 3+ years of experience in actuarial or related fields
• Completion of 2-4 actuarial exams
• Demonstrated experience in analytic work
• Proficiency in MS Excel and statistical packages like SAS
• Solid understanding of SQL is a plus
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to facilitate planning and review sessions
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and implement departmental standards
• Ability to apply judgment to analytical and technical issues
• Team player with interpersonal skills to interface with various staff levels.
