The Senior Actuarial Analyst position at Emergent Holdings is a critical role responsible for supporting Medicare Advantage bids. This includes the development of rate filings, which encompasses data acquisition, pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and process management. The role requires a strong analytical background and the ability to conduct complex analyses, make informed recommendations to leadership, and ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all insurance data used in the production of outputs. The analyst will also be tasked with ad hoc responsibilities related to pricing, forecasting, and financial performance management. In this position, the Senior Actuarial Analyst will utilize advanced actuarial concepts to perform in-depth analyses and research. They will independently recommend specific courses of action while considering the impacts on internal and external stakeholders. The role involves defining the scope of major projects, coordinating their completion, and assessing efficiency-enhancing processes. The analyst will also respond to requests from internal departments, prioritize tasks, and review the work of peers to ensure actuarial soundness. Additionally, the analyst may provide technical guidance to less experienced team members and will be expected to remain current on actuarial techniques and corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field, along with four years of relevant actuarial experience. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience with BCN/BCBSM or comparable experience at another company. Candidates should have earned at least four course credits toward the FSA designation and be members in good standing of the Actuarial Development Program. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to apply effective planning and prioritization techniques. The work environment is an office setting with no unusual hazards, and the compensation range for this role is between $78,800 and $132,100.
