About the position

The Senior Actuarial Analyst at Point32Health will support financial forecasting and pricing for Medicare Supplement Products and Medicare Part D. This role involves collaboration with various departments during financial planning cycles and requires a strong understanding of the health insurance industry, along with proficiency in Excel and statistical modeling. The position also offers opportunities for professional development through the Actuarial Student Program.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis and data needs for financial and actuarial functions.
• Conduct rate reviews, financial planning, projections, and trend analysis.
• Engage in product development and provider reimbursement analysis.
• Participate in fee schedule development and provider risk analysis.
• Perform medical cost containment analysis and support the Medicare Preferred population projects.
• Utilize software packages including SAS, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint for project execution.
• Maintain existing projects and standard reporting.

Requirements

• College degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in actuarial or related fields.
• Completion of 2-4 actuarial exams.
• Demonstrated experience in analytic work.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and statistical packages such as SAS.
• Solid understanding of SQL is a plus.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate planning and review sessions.
• Able to operate in a matrix environment and implement actuarial standards.
