About the position

The Senior Actuarial Analyst at Optomi plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's reserving framework through advanced analytics, supporting a data-driven approach to insurance risk management. This position involves collaboration with leadership and analysts to develop and communicate innovative actuarial models, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization. Responsibilities

• Support a robust reserving framework for insurance business, utilizing standard actuarial techniques and advanced modeling.
• Lead, develop, and communicate advanced analytics to Management and Senior Leadership.
• Foster innovation within the team and across the broader organization.
• Collaborate as part of the reserving processes.
• Develop reserving models, bootstrapping, stochastic simulation, and predictive tools.
• Support development of themselves and other associates in an actuarial capacity.

Requirements

• ACAS or near ACAS preferred; 4 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams strongly preferred.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, SAS, or R.
• 4+ years of experience in actuarial roles, with exposure to advanced ratemaking and/or reserving.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and adjust priorities as necessary.
• High level of problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong work ethic, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
