About the position

The AWS Utility Computing (UC) team is seeking a talented engineer to support the development and management of various cloud services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps. This role involves working on innovative cloud computing solutions and addressing complex technical challenges while ensuring specialized security solutions for government customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of AWS cloud services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to cloud services.
• Design and build operational scalability to support platform growth.
• Collaborate with top engineers to explore new approaches for automating operational issues.
• Engage in deep dives to root cause customer issues and investigate performance metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Linux experience
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience
• 10+ years of systems management/administration automation experience
• 5+ years of Agile methods and processes experience
• Strong debugging and systems analysis skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
