About the position

The Senior Admin Specialist in Customer Support Operations at Duke Energy is a career-level position that provides administrative support to various work groups within the organization. This role requires specialized skills and considerable on-the-job experience, allowing the individual to work with limited supervision while supporting multiple managers in a non-exempt capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Uses software applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Prepares and updates functional reports or records requiring compilation of information from multiple sources.
  • Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail.
  • Maintains files and calendars.
  • Responsible for arranging business travel, coordinating meeting arrangements, and tracking expenses.
  • Prepares/Coordinates team meetings/agendas.
  • Supports departmental initiatives for Safety & Culture.
  • Prepares Communications.

Requirements

  • High School/GED degree
  • Two (2) years related work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates degree
  • Five (5) years related work experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, Word, Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (both written and oral) in a clear, concise and effective manner.
  • Ability to effectively interface with multiple across a department, e.g. managers, supervisors, employees.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with changing conditions.
