About the position

The Senior Administrative Assistant at the Southeast Regional Professional Development Center plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to the center, which serves approximately 84 school districts in the southeast region. This position involves managing schedules, organizing events, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders, ensuring the smooth operation of the center's activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative services and support including receiving visitors, scheduling meetings, screening correspondence, and telephone correspondence
  • Schedule and arrange workshops and meetings, maintaining calendars of all events
  • Collaborate with consultants to plan future events
  • Serve as the building coordinator for the Innovation Center
  • Supervise student workers
  • Organize and maintain department files
  • Manage and organize inventory of all supplies and place orders for the department
  • Serve as liaison with facilities management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner, negotiate with others, and solve problems
  • Demonstrated previous work experience indicates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated evidence of ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Demonstrated bookkeeping experience or evidence of math skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities through strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated evidence of ongoing customer focus
