About the position

The Senior Administrative Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University plays a crucial role in supporting the UEIS division by providing high-level administrative assistance to leadership, faculty, and staff. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the office, managing schedules, coordinating events, and facilitating communication across various departments. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive work environment and help align the division's activities with the university's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Director of the ETC's Office environment.
  • Manage the calendars of UEIS senior leadership, including preparing materials for meetings.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing events, including logistics and guest management.
  • Process expense reports and reimbursements, and manage purchase card reports.
  • Assist leadership and guests in booking and reimbursing travel for university-sponsored activities.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Information Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience managing an office environment.
  • Successful Background Check.
