The Senior Administrative Associate at the University of Texas at San Antonio plays a crucial role in coordinating and directing the administration of the College of Business, Information Systems, and Cyber Security. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the administration of the College of Business, Information Systems, and Cyber Security.
  • Manage budgetary, personnel, faculty, and other administrative matters for the department.
  • Use initiative and independent judgment to relieve administrators of administrative matters and decisions.
  • Act as an administrative specialist for the department or unit.
  • Oversee the coordination of administrative duties and supervise clerical staff.
  • Implement and execute organizational policies, work rules, and operating procedures.
  • Assist in preparing the department's fiscal year operating budgets.
  • Maintain accounting records, prepare monthly reports, and approve expenditures for multiple accounts.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources for accuracy and relevance, preparing complex reports and charts.
  • Provide counsel to administrators on departmental or institutional matters.
  • Create arrangements for official guests and receive them in the absence of the administrator.
  • Assist co-workers in various tasks to ensure safety and create recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Nine (9) years of increasingly responsible administrative, clerical, or office experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for five (5) years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize independent judgment in everyday work situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
