About the position

The Senior Advisor to the Deputy Chief Asset & Capital Management Officer at NYCHA will support the management of the Asset & Capital Management Division, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness and implement strategic initiatives. This role involves providing strategic support, facilitating communication across departments, and managing key projects to align with NYCHA's mission of providing quality housing for New Yorkers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Deputy CACMO in executing a cohesive strategy to enhance the operational effectiveness of teams within the Asset & Capital Management Division.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, initiatives, and performance improvement efforts within the division.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Deputy CACMO and business units across A&CM, ensuring clear communication of strategic objectives, priorities, and directives.
  • Provide project management support for key initiatives led by the Deputy CACMO, including organizing meetings with key stakeholders, preparing agendas, and tracking action items.
  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data relevant to the division's strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in relevant fields such as engineering, architecture, urban planning, or public administration.
  • Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in planning, administering, or expediting engineering design or construction, with two years in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong process and analytical skills with excellent data fluency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in asset management strategies and funding strategies for capital projects.
  • Background in operations or management consulting related to data-driven portfolio management practices.
