The Senior Agile Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting complex projects, products, and programs within Northeastern ITS. This position requires a deep understanding of various organizational and implementation methodologies, leveraging pre-existing knowledge, skills, templates, and expertise. The Senior Agile Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project/product lifecycle, employing project management practices to ensure successful delivery. This role involves concurrently managing multiple projects/products across various teams and business areas within a matrixed reporting structure. In this capacity, the Senior Agile Project Manager is responsible for delivering multiple complex projects/products that have a significant impact on various business areas. Key responsibilities include managing timelines and financials, as well as addressing risks, issues, decisions, and changes that arise during the project lifecycle. The role also entails managing risk and issue escalations, driving resolutions, and overseeing resources in a cross-functional environment. The Senior Agile Project Manager will be tasked with executive-level reporting and communication, mentoring other project managers, and contributing to the overall project management discipline and process improvements. A strong focus on team needs and customer value is essential. The Senior Agile Project Manager will establish clear boundaries for team operations, assist in removing roadblocks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Mentorship in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, is a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that the team understands and applies relevant practices effectively. The Senior Agile Project Manager will also collaborate with the Product Owner to facilitate effective backlog grooming techniques, sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint retrospectives, while producing necessary metrics such as sprint burndown charts. Additionally, this role requires liaising with architecture and operations teams to manage dependencies related to systems and infrastructure.
