About the position

As a Senior Agile Project Manager at Gainwell, you will play a crucial role in leveraging technology to enhance health and human services outcomes for vulnerable communities. This position involves planning, coordinating, and executing strategic objectives while managing complex projects through the full project management life cycle. You will work closely with teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain communication with executive leadership regarding project metrics and status.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and keeping projects moving to deliver better health and human services outcomes.
  • Oversee and execute department-level strategic objectives with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Build and maintain templates for project reporting and tracking.
  • Facilitate coordination of assigned staff by providing direction and deadlines.
  • Communicate with company and executive leadership, measuring and sharing project metrics/status; recommend program changes as needed.
  • Actively project manage across non-direct reports, escalating risks and implementing mitigation solutions.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end PI planning process with minimal guidance.
  • Guide teams in decomposing high-level initiatives into executable features and stories.
  • Coach engineering teams on establishing and tracking key metrics.
  • Transform ambiguous business requirements into clear project deliverables while maintaining strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience managing complex projects, programs, or initiatives through a full project management life cycle.
  • Expertise with project management methodology or Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Strong understanding of agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to lead and translate broader program objectives into clear and achievable project scope and milestones.
  • Leadership to train, guide, and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Strong executive presentation skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Ability to influence and motivate direct and indirect networks and stakeholders to action.
