About the position

The Senior Agribusiness Commercial Lines Underwriter at FCCI Insurance Group is responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable agribusiness and farm customers through effective underwriting practices. This role involves collaborating with assigned agents to meet profitability and production goals while adhering to company guidelines. The Underwriter will manage pricing and underwriting for a designated territory, fostering business relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the acquisition and retention of profitable agribusiness/farm customers.
• Follow sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy.
• Work with assigned agents to meet profitability and production goals.
• Manage pricing and underwriting for an assigned territory of business.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with agents.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial lines underwriting, preferably in agribusiness or farm insurance.
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyze risk and make sound decisions based on company guidelines.
