About the position

The Senior AI Engineer at Capital One is responsible for developing and deploying AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve internal processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable AI solutions, leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies to optimize performance and efficiency in AI systems. The position is integral to advancing Capital One's vision for AI, focusing on responsible and innovative applications that deliver significant value to customers and the business.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 3 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or Master's degree.
• At least 3 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Nice-to-haves

• 4 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms.
• Experience developing, delivering, and supporting AI services.
• Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
• Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software.
