About the position

The AI Engineering team at WEX is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to enhance product functionality through scalable AI solutions. This role involves collaborating with product development teams to integrate AI capabilities into applications while maintaining a cloud-first approach and automating infrastructure, testing, and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing speed with compliance in regulated industries such as payments and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable full-stack components that enhance product functionality.
• Work closely with machine learning engineers to integrate models and large language models into applications.
• Collaborate with the team to manage version control using GitHub and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between various components and ensure smooth operation of applications.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a focus on building scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (Certifications are a plus).
• Experience applying DevOps principles to software development processes.
• Proficiency in version control systems, particularly GitHub.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
