About the position

The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is seeking a skilled software engineer with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI to support the AI Integration team and the Cognitive Baseline program. This role involves developing technologies and products that leverage AI to enhance capabilities for customers, engaging in all phases of the system development lifecycle, and transitioning prototypes to production. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with flexibility in location.

Responsibilities

• Develop technologies and products leveraging Artificial Intelligence.
• Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle including design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Conduct mid-tier TRL research and develop proof of concepts and prototypes.
• Build demonstrators and transition solutions to production.
• Utilize AI paradigms such as computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• Experience using AI/ML frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.)
• Experience with libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, etc.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, GO, or Rust.
• Experience providing best practices and design principles in program technologies.
• Familiarity with transitioning AI prototypes to production.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading engineers or small teams.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Git, CI/CD.
• Experience writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes deployment scripts.
• Top Secret // SCI Clearance.
