About the position

The Senior AI Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Artificial Intelligence Center will play a crucial role in supporting the AI Integration team and product portfolio, particularly focusing on the Cognitive Baseline program. This position involves leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop innovative solutions that enhance capabilities for customers. The role encompasses engagement in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including design, implementation, integration, and testing, with a strong emphasis on transitioning prototypes to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop technologies and products that leverage Artificial Intelligence.
• Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle including design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Transition AI prototypes to production for enterprise utilization.
• Utilize current AI paradigms such as computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with small, innovative teams to rapidly iterate and mature solutions from prototypes to deployment.

Requirements

• Experience using AI/ML frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow.
• Proficiency with libraries like NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, and Pandas.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, GO, or Rust.
• Experience providing best practices and design principles across product teams.
• Familiarity with transitioning AI prototypes to production.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading other engineers or small teams.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Git, CI/CD.
• Experience writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes deployment scripts.
• Top Secret // SCI Clearance.
