About the position

The Senior AI Engineering Manager at LinkedIn is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development and implementation of machine learning solutions. This role involves participating in technical discussions, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring best engineering practices are followed. The manager will also focus on attracting talent, providing mentorship, and driving the productivity of the team through effective leadership.

Responsibilities

• Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team.
• Collaborate with application engineering, product, and partner teams to design machine learning solutions.
• Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.
• Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
• Lead a team of 15-20 world class engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• 3+ years of management experience
• BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experience
• Hands on experience in data modeling and machine learning engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
• 4+ years of management experience, leading teams in AI, ML, Data, or related domains.
• At least one year of experience managing other managers and/or technical leads.
• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline.
