About the position

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their CORE.AI team, focusing on the development and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools. This role involves collaborating with technical staff to drive AI/ML processes that enhance the company's engineering practices. The engineer will be responsible for analyzing data sets, creating models, and maintaining applications that provide insights and production value to the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI/ML tools and processes to provide insights and production value.
• Analyze and create data sets for AI/ML model creation.
• Prepare data visualizations to illustrate analytical results.
• Use statistical inference methods for probabilistic design space exploration.
• Utilize finite element analysis and numerical methods for structural component design.
• Implement constrained multi-objective optimization for design space exploration.

Requirements

• BS and/or MS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Proficient knowledge of machine learning and data mining algorithms.
• Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (Strand7, RAM, SAP200, etc.) is a plus.
