About the position

Trideum Corporation is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our team at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This full-time position is designed for individuals with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, particularly those with experience in the US Army Force Protection domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing and modifying existing AI/ML tools to conduct advanced data science, analytics, and data collection tasks. This role is pivotal as it involves being at the forefront of a new initiative aimed at designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge AI/ML tools. In this position, you will be expected to perform both quantitative and qualitative data science activities that enhance the collection, analysis, validation, and visualization of data. Your work will directly contribute to improving test and evaluation processes through machine learning across the program lifecycle. You will develop custom machine learning models and algorithms tailored to specific data sets, lead data and analytics activities, and support the implementation of big data analysis tools and database schemas. Additionally, you will assess the effectiveness of new data sources and techniques, identify stakeholder needs, and coordinate with program management to prioritize objectives. The role requires a blend of creativity and adherence to industry standards, including Department of Defense (DoD) software development policies. You will need to analyze team needs, conceptualize solutions, and apply new technologies to enhance existing software applications. The position offers some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule, depending on project requirements, and minimal travel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative data science activities to improve the collection, analysis, validation, and visualization of data in order to improve test and evaluation (T&E) thru machine learning over the program lifecycle.
• Develop custom machine learning models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Lead and perform data and analytics activities such as requirements development and traceability, system model development, design documentation, technical baseline maintenance, and verification and validation analysis over the program lifecycle.
• Support the development and implementation of big data analysis tools and database schemas.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Identify stakeholder, customer and user needs to design new systems and/or improve existing systems.
• Coordinate with program management personnel to prioritize programmatic and technical objectives.
• Develop thought-leading white papers and support the development of technical artifacts such as software or hardware designs and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Possess a strong AI/ML background with 5+ years of AI/ML in industry.
• Experience monitoring and evaluating performance of deployed AI/ML solutions.
• Experience implementing artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms into software projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate results from deeply technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Active US Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• DoD/US Army Knowledge of Force Protection.
• Adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
• Strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations.
• Experience supporting Army T&E communities.
• Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
