About the position

The Senior AI/ML Engineer at Analog Devices (ADI) will be responsible for developing advanced learning algorithms for robotics, focusing on generality and dexterity. This role involves creating simulations, implementing algorithms, and evaluating their performance while staying updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and robotics. The position is part of the Dexterous AI Group, which aims to push the boundaries of traditional algorithms and system innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of advanced learning algorithms for general and dexterous robots using state-of-the-art techniques.
  • Create sandbox simulations, deployable implementations, and evaluation frameworks for algorithm performance and robustness.
  • Contribute to data requirements, data collection setup and procedure, and data curation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and robotics from reputable groups.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience; Ph.D. is preferred.
  • 3+ years of research experience in robot learning.
  • Strong background in machine learning and robotics.
  • Experience in planning and control algorithms (e.g., A*, MPC, LQR).
  • Experience in optimization techniques (e.g., linear/nonlinear optimization).
  • Experience in training deep learning models with PyTorch.
  • Experience in reinforcement learning and imitation learning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with foundation models and large language models.
  • Experience with robotics toolkits (e.g., ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, Isaac).
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and mechanical design.
