About the position

The Senior AI Technical Project Manager at TurnItIn is responsible for facilitating communication between various teams, including AI, product marketing, product management, and legal. This role is crucial for ensuring alignment between AI research and development and engineering schedules, driving project execution, and maintaining stakeholder alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables. The position is remote and emphasizes a culture of accountability and purpose, supporting the company's mission to enhance global education integrity.

Responsibilities

• Bridge communication between AI, product marketing, product management, and legal teams.
• Work closely with engineering teams and technical program managers to align AI R&D with engineering development schedules.
• Drive project execution and ensure stakeholder alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Facilitate alignment between R&D and engineering development schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role, preferably within a technology or AI-focused organization.
• Strong understanding of AI and its applications in education and technology.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex statistics simply to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with educational technology or directly with educational leaders is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with diverse teams.
• 5+ years experience in project management tools and methodologies, including JIRA for strategic tracking.
• 5+ years experience in facilitating alignment between R&D and engineering development schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with SageMaker and Weights and Biases is a plus.
• Fluency and excitement with latest GenAI / (ChatGPT).
