About The Position

The Project Manager at Verizon will serve as a key contact for State and Local Government clients, facilitating successful outcomes on large-scale network implementations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in project management.
  • Experience managing complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience dealing with key customers at both frontline and management levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Ability to motivate and influence teams to deliver outcomes and results.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in handling various situations and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Project Management contact for key State and Local Government clients.
  • Interface with multiple levels of clients to drive successful outcomes on large-scale network implementations.
  • Support high visibility strategic project and service implementation by interfacing directly with customers and management.
  • Forge cross-functional partnerships to ensure project completion.
  • Craft detailed project plans and present business updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing status and action reporting to management and clients.
  • Identify global resource requirements and coordinate the right personnel for projects.
  • Plan and anticipate issues, adjusting strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve project processes.
  • Drive projects and keep team members on track to meet deadlines.
  • Scope and develop project plans for complex intermediate projects, including resource, time, and budget estimates.
  • Provide support to solve a wide range of complex issues and problems.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met regarding ROI, product quality, functionality, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate the transition of programs from development to implementation.
  • Implement recommendations to aid in the successful completion of projects.
