About the position

The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Operations is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the portfolio accounting system, managing account and composite performance, and overseeing account opening and closing processes. This role involves reconciling client accounts with custodial records and serving as the primary contact for trade-related issues between the custodian and the Winslow Capital Trading Desk. The position also includes cross-functional backup responsibilities and reporting to the Senior Director of Portfolio Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily cash and position reconciliations performed by Outsourced Servicing Team, including dividend postings and start of day processes.
  • Prepare and maintain procedure documentation.
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for custodian and outsourced service coverage teams.
  • Responsible for cash flow communication and filing of incoming client cash flow notices, maintaining a cash flow report, and gathering daily projected cash flows from custodians for internal dissemination.
  • Complete monthly NAV reconciliation of custodian data to portfolio accounting system.
  • Responsible for reporting to Parent company, clients, and consultants with daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Responsible for account opening, closing and maintenance activities in the portfolio accounting system.
  • Prepare GIPS Reports for all composites/GCFs and gather support requested by the GIPS Verifier; serve on GIPS Committee.
  • Calculate/Review Net of Fee performance returns for clients and composites.
  • Crosstrain and serve as primary backup to the Senior Director, Portfolio Operations, with responsibility for other backup duties and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related discipline such as accounting, business, finance or economics highly preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience in audit public accounting, financial accounting and/or operations at a registered financial services company.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in reconciliation and problem resolution.
  • Highly detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience leveraging Advent's APX and other products within the SS&C suite preferred.
