About the position

The Senior Analyst, Actuarial position at CVS Health focuses on monitoring and evaluating the financial performance of the Individual Exchange business. This analytical role is crucial for providing insights into the current and anticipated performance of the Individual & Family Plans (IFP) line of business, which has seen significant growth. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, gathering and reviewing data to identify performance drivers and support risk adjustment analytics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of the Individual Exchange business.
• Provide analytical support for the IFP Product Performance team on risk adjustment.
• Gather and review data from other business areas to identify performance drivers.
• Communicate analysis results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establish partnerships with the IFP business unit for risk adjustment analytics.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in an actuarial and/or analytical role.
• Experience working with data sets in SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Strong analytical and model-building skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years experience in an actuarial and/or analytical role.
• Completion of 2 or more Actuarial exams.
• Familiarity with Public Exchanges and/or CMS risk adjustment models.
• Experience with analyzing data sets in R.
