About the position

The Actuarial Senior Analyst for Medicare Dental Business at CVS Health plays a crucial role in providing actuarial pricing support. This position is integral to the development and maintenance of pricing models and rating tools specifically tailored for Medicare Dental services. The analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining supporting documentation necessary for compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, ensuring that all annual bid filings meet the required standards. This role requires collaboration with the Product team to devise effective pricing strategies that align with market needs and competitiveness. Additionally, the analyst will work closely with Market teams to conduct thorough market competitiveness analyses, ensuring that CVS Health remains a leader in the Medicare Dental sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in actuarial principles, demonstrated through at least two years of relevant experience and the completion of at least one actuarial exam. Proficiency in SQL or a willingness to learn SQL and other programming languages is essential, as the role demands strong technical, analytical, and financial skills. The Actuarial Senior Analyst will contribute to the overall mission of CVS Health by supporting the organization’s commitment to delivering personalized, convenient, and affordable healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Medicare Dental pricing model and rating tools
  • Develop supporting documentation and compliance items for annual bid filing
  • Ensure compliance with all CMS regulations and tests
  • Collaborate with Product team to provide pricing support and identify best product strategy
  • Conduct market competitiveness analysis with Market teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2+ years of actuarial experience
  • At least one actuarial exam passed
  • Experience with SQL or desire to learn SQL and other programming languages
  • Strong technical, analytical, and financial skills

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ Actuarial Exams passed are preferred
  • Prior Commercial or Medicare pricing/forecasting experience preferred
