About the position

The Senior Analyst, Actuarial position at CVS Health is a pivotal role that focuses on managing and delivering a variety of reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This position can be performed in any Aetna office with a hybrid schedule or fully remote from anywhere in the United States, provided the candidate is willing to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours at least one week per month. The role is designed for an actuarial student who is eager to learn and apply the latest actuarial techniques while contributing to the company's mission of enhancing human-centric health care. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing and establishing large claim accruals during each monthly financial close. This involves close communication with business partners in Claim Operations, Finance, and the Medical Economics Unit (MEU) to incorporate their feedback into the monthly case reserves. Additionally, the analyst will dive deep into data to derive insights regarding case reserve estimates and communicate results and proposed changes to actuarial leadership.
