Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain actuarial models that inform decision makers.
  • Make accurate and insightful recommendations to management across various teams.
  • Develop efficient and transparent analyses to influence business objectives with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure consistency of all work and perform reasonability checks based on actuarial knowledge.
  • Understand the goals and objectives of the role and demonstrate ownership in proposing changes.
  • Utilize effective time management to ensure success across multiple projects.
  • Carry out recurring projects with minimal assistance and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Foster cooperation and teamwork while conveying engagement and expertise.
  • Explain technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with new reserve methods, regulations, and actuarial guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Passed at least 4 Society of Actuaries examinations and committed to achieving FSA.
  • Strong analytical, qualitative, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an innovative and dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding communication and collaborative skills.
  • Strong modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, Access, MG-Triton, MG-ALFA, PolySystems, Python, R, FactSet, or similar software.
