About the position

The Senior Analyst/Budget & Analytics position at Valley Health System is a critical role that involves assisting in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets. This position requires the analyst to generate detailed monthly reports and analyses that are essential for management to monitor system operations effectively. The role is designed for individuals who possess a strong financial background, preferably with experience in the healthcare industry, such as in a hospital or medical group setting, or in consulting. The analyst will work closely with department leadership and the accounting team, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and confidential. In this role, the analyst will be expected to navigate various finance applications and operational reporting systems, including MediTech, Athena, Anodyne, AXIOM, and QLIK. The ability to analyze complex problems and link operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with financial results is crucial. The analyst will also need to interpret operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions that align with the organization's goals. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the analyst will be required to present findings and collaborate with various stakeholders. The position is full-time, with a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and is based in Ridgewood, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree, preferably with some accounting credits or a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of an Associate's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Advanced Excel and analytical skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the financial operations of the Valley Health System are managed effectively and efficiently.
