As a Business Data Analyst within the Digital Transformation organization, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic business and data analysis services to our Finance and business partners. This position requires close collaboration with the Broadridge Finance community, Product Owners, and Business Units to execute activities aligned with our digital transformation strategy. Your primary focus will be on analyzing data, performing data sourcing analysis, supporting data governance activities, and managing data quality as we implement an enterprise Data Strategy. Your contributions will be essential to the success of our Digital Transformation initiatives, supporting project management activities and managing risks throughout the program. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately sourcing required data into our enterprise data platform, ensuring that data requirements and quality expectations are met. You will perform business analysis activities to ensure accurate requirements are captured, maintain source-to-target mappings, and define data quality rules. Additionally, you will assist project and program managers on larger, more complex projects, ensuring that customer and business needs are met across Finance. Staying current with customer needs and strategies is crucial, and you will utilize various communication methods, such as emails, PowerPoint presentations, and executive updates, to communicate progress updates and findings. You will also facilitate project meetings and presentations to a diverse audience. Your responsibilities will include leading or participating in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing project scope, adjusting schedules when necessary, determining daily priorities, and ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones. You will follow proper escalation paths and manage customer and supplier relationships. Furthermore, you will identify, create, and facilitate data sourcing plans and requirements to meet business and systems expectations, focusing on quality improvement and data management. This involves ensuring that data is reliable and valid while partnering with customers to ensure that systems provided meet long-term business strategies. You will also provide and support the implementation of data solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, and recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately source required data into the enterprise data platform, ensuring data requirements and quality expectations are met.
  • Perform business analysis activities to ensure accurate requirements are captured, source-to-target mappings are maintained, and data quality rules are defined.
  • Assist project/program managers on larger, more complex projects.
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs across Finance.
  • Utilize formal and informal written communication methods to communicate progress updates and findings.
  • Facilitate project meetings and presentations to a diverse audience.
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation.
  • Manage project scope, adjust schedules when necessary, and determine daily priorities.
  • Ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones.
  • Identify, create, and facilitate data sourcing plans and requirements to meet business and systems expectations.
  • Provide and support the implementation of data solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience with Master Data Management and other Data Governance practices.
  • Proficient in phases of project management lifecycle and agile methodology.
  • Experience working on medium scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient use of MS Project, MS Suite (PowerPoint/Excel), Jira, SQL, etc.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated history of success in business and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the finance industry.

  • Salary: $90,000-$105,000 depending on experience
