About the position

As a Senior Analyst in Business Systems at Ascension Health, you will serve as a key resource for an assigned customer area, focusing on understanding and explaining both business and technical issues while providing viable technology solutions. Your role will involve working closely with customers to clarify and plan for their current and future technology needs. This includes determining and mapping existing business processes and functions, as well as recommending necessary changes to ensure a tightly integrated system. You will be responsible for designing and implementing projects that require systems integration, managing small teams, and working across multiple technical platforms. In addition to project management, you will conduct Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial analyses to support project funding and prioritization. Collaboration will be essential as you drive improvement activities aimed at achieving departmental and organizational goals. You will take a proactive approach in these activities to deliver value and ensure consistency and optimization of the overall work product by coordinating with functional teams. Staying current with industry and business process trends will be crucial, as you will need to apply this knowledge to enhance existing business processes.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to clarify and plan for their current and future technology needs.
• Determine and map existing business processes/functions and recommend changes required to fit a tightly integrated system.
• Design and implement projects requiring systems integration, small teams and multiple technical platforms.
• Conduct Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial analysis to support project funding/prioritization.
• Collaborate on driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals.
• Assume a proactive role in driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals to deliver value.
• Coordinate with functional team to assure consistency and optimization of overall work product.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry and business process trends and apply that knowledge to existing business processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Bachelor degree in healthcare or healthcare data analytics preferred.
• 5 years healthcare data related experience, strongly preferred.
• Healthcare data analysis experience preferred.
• Database analysis experience preferred.
• Data validation experience preferred.
• SQL programming preferred.
• ETL and/or FTP file experience preferred.
