About the position

The role is part of the US Cash Back Product Management team at American Express, focusing on the management and execution of the U.S. Consumer Cash Back card products and the Reward Dollars program. The position aims to enhance Card Member acquisition, spending, and engagement through strategic product management and collaboration with various departments. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives that improve product features and benefits while analyzing performance metrics to inform future strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of core Consumer Card product management functions, including customer complaints and resolutions.
  • Support the execution of new/improved features, benefits, and experiences through partnerships across various departments.
  • Partner with Analytics and Finance to assess product and feature performance, driving actionable insights for optimization.
  • Provide management support for the Reward Dollars program and gain fluency in the rewards infrastructure.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape to inform strategy across existing partner benefits and cash back categories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in product management or a similar field.
  • Strong project management and communication skills to lead new initiatives and drive results through collaboration.
  • Outstanding project management skills with a strong bias to action.
  • Ability to communicate and drive results across multiple teams/functions and at all levels.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services or consumer products.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and methodologies.
