About the position

The Senior Analyst, Customer Engineering Strategy & Operations at Elastic will play a crucial role in driving sales strategy, planning, reporting, and analysis efforts within the Global Customer Engineering team. This position focuses on the analytical aspects of key business decisions, including quota setting, attainment reporting, and resource allocation, while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance operational efficiency and performance across various metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Designing incentive structures for Customer Architects and Customer Engineers that align with organizational goals.
  • Crafting and delivering quotas and targets, and managing territories and account alignment.
  • Partnering closely with Customer Engineering leadership to develop actionable projects that accelerate consumption growth and improve productivity.
  • Performing in-depth analyses on leading, in-process, and lagging indicators to support pivotal initiatives for growth.
  • Conducting data analysis and modeling to identify trends and efficiency opportunities, and improving systems, tools, and dashboards.
  • Engaging in ad-hoc analyses to understand business performance and provide concise summaries and recommendations to management.
  • Independently forming and expressing opinions on data signals that indicate risks or opportunities.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement of processes, policies, and tools to drive productivity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in Sales or Field Operations, Strategy, FP&A, Management Consulting, or similar fields in SaaS organizations with strong exposure to go-to-market strategy.
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure sophisticated problems, develop solutions, and craft recommendations into easily digestible documents and communications.
  • Highly collaborative style with the ability to adjust to new demands with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Deep familiarity with Salesforce.com.
  • High level of proficiency with the MS Office suite, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with BigQuery, SQL, and Tableau is a plus.
