As a Senior Analyst in Data Management at Western Alliance Bank, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Data Governance team. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and enhance business line data processes and procedures, ensuring that the collection and updating of source systems feeding into databases are efficient and accurate. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Reporting and Analytics, to maintain data quality within the Enterprise Data Warehouse, which is essential for effective reporting and analytics. Additionally, you will assist the Policy and Procedures team in developing and updating data processes, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed. Your role will involve monitoring daily data validation processes across multiple data sources, helping to identify and resolve issues that arise from data rule reviews. You will utilize your advanced SQL Query Language skills to perform data mining and querying using SQL Server Management Studio, ensuring the accuracy of data tables and views. Summarizing data to identify or explain data issues will be a key part of your responsibilities, and you will leverage tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for this purpose. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and sourcing of data stores within the Enterprise Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse, engaging in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that data stores accurately capture source data feeds. In this position, you will need to prioritize your workload effectively to meet deadlines and ensure timely resolution of data issues. You will also assist with monthly data reconciliations for the General Ledger close process, ensuring that critical data issues are addressed in preparation for this important financial task.
