About the position

As a Senior Analyst in Ethnographic Research at Universal Orlando Resort, you will play a pivotal role in the Consumer Insights team, which is responsible for conducting comprehensive research to understand the experiences, sentiments, and profiles of our guests. This position involves designing, implementing, and interpreting primary mixed-method research that informs various stakeholders across the organization. You will be tasked with gathering qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights that drive strategic decisions and enhance guest experiences in our parks and resorts. Your work will involve collaborating closely with various departments to ensure that the research aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. You will utilize ethnographic methods to delve deep into guest behaviors and preferences, translating complex data into actionable insights. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, as you will be expected to synthesize findings and present them in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at all levels. In addition to research responsibilities, you will also mentor junior analysts, guiding them in best practices for research methodologies and data analysis. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative research strategies that keep Universal Orlando Resort at the forefront of the entertainment industry. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ethnographic research studies to gather insights on guest experiences.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and patterns in guest behavior.

  • Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in consumer insights and ethnographic research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ethnographic research methods and mixed-method research design.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
