The Executive Compensation Specialist at Newell Brands plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and administration of executive compensation programs. This position is responsible for ensuring that compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The role involves a variety of tasks including data analysis, reporting, plan administration, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve the strategic objectives of the executive compensation department. In terms of policy and compliance, the specialist will assist in ensuring that executive compensation programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations and IRS rules. This includes maintaining compensation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness, as well as preparing and reviewing compensation disclosures for proxy statements and other regulatory filings. Data analysis and reporting are key components of this role. The specialist will conduct market research and benchmarking to analyze trends, ensuring that executive compensation practices remain competitive and compliant with relevant regulations. This includes analyzing compensation data, preparing reports on compensation trends, and conducting cost analyses to support decision-making. The specialist will also monitor and assess the effectiveness of compensation programs, recommending adjustments as necessary. Communication and collaboration are essential, as the specialist will work closely with the HR, Finance, and Legal departments, as well as external consultants, to implement and administer compensation plans. This includes overseeing the communication of incentive programs to key stakeholders and educating executives and HR teams about the impact of compensation programs on performance and business outcomes. Finally, the specialist will oversee the administration of executive compensation plans, managing relationships with compensation consultants and brokers, and administering the long-term incentive plan, ensuring timely payments and accurate tracking of performance metrics.
