About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Finance & Accounting at The Orchard plays a crucial role in the Finance team, focusing on financial analysis, reconciliation, and stakeholder communication. This office-first position requires the analyst to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and customer invoicing, while also participating in the month-end close process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer status updates to various stakeholders including Business Development and Finance.
  • Co-lead meetings with stakeholders focusing on cash receipts, invoice status, and sales reporting.
  • Work with the Manager, Finance & Accounting to determine which digital sales files can be processed for the month.
  • Reconcile AR accounts by digital customer and prepare monthly aging reports.
  • Reconcile revenue statements vs. cash received by customers.
  • Ensure new customers are properly set up and invoiced in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Review and approve customer invoices created by the offshore finance team.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on significantly past due accounts.
  • Calculate revenue and costs associated with each customer/campaign for various business units.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain a tracker of all digital customer deals with minimum guarantees/advances.
  • Participate in the month-end close process by preparing various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Experience working with Google Docs & Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter with organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
