About the position

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis at Daiichi Sankyo Inc. plays a crucial role in the finance team, focusing on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The analyst will also oversee monthly closing activities and management reporting, ensuring accurate financial data and effective communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate understanding of operational and financial requirements for business partners around the budgeting process.
• Supervise monthly closing activities to ensure proper recording of accruals and expenses in financial systems.
• Analyze monthly performance results and develop commentary on variances, providing insights into business performance.
• Develop effective business relationships throughout the organization to understand financial information needs and provide support.
• Work with the Finance team leader to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and systems for improved efficiency and cost control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 4 or more years of general work experience preferred.
• 1 or more years of experience in accounting and/or Financial Planning and Analysis-related work, and/or pharmaceutical/R&D experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
