About the position

The Senior Analyst at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts plays a crucial role in applying technical skills and analytics to support the Food & Beverage and Merchandise Lines of Business. This position focuses on delivering insightful analyses, reporting, and tools that help drive decision-making and operational efficiency. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear, story-based manner, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of creating happiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical partnership and reporting support for Lines of Business partners and Operations clients.
• Partner with key stakeholders to clarify and interpret complex information to identify root business questions.
• Build and deliver presentations that communicate sophisticated analytical methodologies and results effectively.
• Collaborate with leadership and team members to develop project approaches and analytical methodologies.
• Proactively share communication across teams to ensure understanding of project updates and priorities.
• Support team members by documenting and communicating findings and standard processes.
• Consider operational complexity and adapt to feedback from leadership and clients.
• Contribute to all aspects of project work from scoping to communication of results.
• Connect, pull, and validate data across various systems and sources.
• Outline and explain analysis approach and methodology.
• Conduct analyses to assess impacts and interpret results for project recommendations.
• Build data visualizations and reporting to evaluate performance across locations and benchmarks.
• Derive insights based on trends in operational performance and productivity analytics.

Requirements

• Proven understanding of mathematical and statistical analysis methods with real-world application.
• Proficient with Excel and other analytical tools/software.
• Proficient with programming languages (Snowflake/SQL/Python) and data visualization software (Tableau/MicroStrategy/Power BI).
• Experience building analytical methodologies and tools that deliver impactful insights.
• Experience in programming, data mining, analytics, and presentation of results.
• Excellent communication and partnering skills with team members, leaders, and clients.
• Proficient in time management and prioritization, balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to incorporate and promote change and feedback in a productive manner.
• Competency to translate results into clear, story-based interpretations for diverse audiences.
