About the position

The Senior Analyst, FP&A at Lifestyle Brands (LSB) will serve as a vital business partner to the SG&A functional teams, playing a key role in financial planning and analysis. This position is based in San Francisco and involves close collaboration with the Finance team in San Francisco, SG&A teams in both San Francisco and Racine, WI, and the centralized accounting team located in Racine, WI. The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in developing and distributing functional budgets, tracking monthly financial performance, and analyzing variances against the budget. This role will also identify risks and opportunities related to forecasts and manage any audit or tax requests that arise. Ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial results is a critical responsibility of this position. In this role, the Senior Analyst will own and develop functional cost center budgets, leading monthly financial review meetings with functional business partners. They will be responsible for understanding and tracking variances to budget and forecast for leadership reporting, distributing month-end spend reports to functional budget owners for review and commentary, and providing financial modeling to support internal decision-making around forecasts. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will create ad hoc reports as needed for tracking budgets and other business drivers, prepare and review journal entries for general accruals in the SG&A functional areas, and manage year-end accruals. They will also record and reconcile bonus and relocation expenses related to LSB North American entities and handle intercompany transactions from booking to billing across entities and regions. The Senior Analyst will coordinate with Corporate Accounting on close responsibilities and respond to inquiries from Corporate Accounting, including audit or tax requests and questions on intercompany reconciliations. Building strong relationships based on credibility and trust across multiple layers of management is essential, and the role may include performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years working in Accounting or Finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines.
  • SAP or ERP system experience a plus.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
