About the position

The Senior Analyst position at our fast-growing Oilfield Services client is a pivotal role that supports various functions within Finance and Accounting. This position is designed for a highly motivated individual who will engage in a range of responsibilities that include corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate development, strategy formulation, sustainability initiatives, and investor relations. The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in managing the annual budget process, supporting budget planning, and conducting comprehensive financial analyses and modeling for investment opportunities. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Senior Analyst will assist in due diligence for acquisitions, collaborating closely with senior management to develop and refine corporate strategies. The role also involves maintaining financial reports and projection models, preparing ad hoc reports, and creating graphical representations of financial data. The Senior Analyst will compile variance analyses for financial statement accounts and develop both internal and external presentation materials to communicate findings and strategies effectively. This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to navigate the complexities of the energy sector and contribute to the company's growth and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant corporate finance, Corporate Development, Consulting or Investment Banking experience within the energy space
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong 3-statement financial modeling skill set
  • Understanding of accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • 4 years of experience or a BBA in a relevant field preferred
