About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst for Global Timberland at VF Corporation plays a crucial role in financial planning and analysis, partnering with the brand's global leadership team. This position involves creating and analyzing strategic financial plans, monitoring growth initiatives, and providing decision-support analytics to drive business success. The analyst will work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with financial goals and operational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Timberland's global business and provide financial and decision-support analytics to the Global Leadership team.
  • Support the 3-year rolling financial plan (LRP) in collaboration with global strategy, merchandising planning, operations, product, supply chain, and regional finance teams.
  • Prepare presentations for executive leadership teams, Board of Directors, and ad hoc requests through earnings and monthly/quarterly meetings.
  • Conduct financial modeling and draw insights on product margin, including understanding global pricing architecture and cost framework.
  • Support the global Go-to-Market (GTM) process and identify gaps versus the 3YP assumptions, updating rolling models based on growth initiatives.
  • Create and maintain standardized tools for consolidating the brand's global financials, focusing on key financial variances.
  • Partner with global functions to adhere to operating budgets and achieve annual SG&A savings goals.
  • Monitor global brand costs and support the monthly close and reporting for global cost centers, maintaining ownership of the monthly forecast and annual plan process.
  • Support the consolidation of product-level revenue reporting and assist global brand leaders in various planning processes.
  • Analyze short-term and long-term business trends utilizing KPIs from multiple sources.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the FP&A function at a multinational company, preferably in consumer-related or retail industries.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
  • Strong financial background with exceptional analytical and modeling skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills: efficient, organized, and collaborative, able to track multiple streams of work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as a cross-functional team player.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting with strong financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, data management, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to effectively present findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
