About the position

The Senior Analyst for Human Resources Information System (HRIS) at Verizon plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the HRIS, specifically the Workday system. This position involves cross-functional collaboration with IT, HRIS, and various functional teams to ensure data integrity, manage ticketing systems, and support audit compliance requests. The analyst will also assist in planning and executing Workday releases and provide support for various projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the ticketing system and change management activities.
  • Conduct daily audits of Workday system changes against approved Jira tickets.
  • Provide support with audit requests from Internal Risk as they arise.
  • Manage data integrity in the Jira ticketing system and resolve user questions.
  • Review documentation in Jira tickets for approval to migrate to production.
  • Support hosting of weekly planning and migration calls.
  • Maintain Workday tenant refresh requests and communications.
  • Assist with bi-annual Workday release planning.
  • Proactively partner with IT, HRIS, and functional teams to stay informed of their plans and progress.
  • Support other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of Workday experience.
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
