The Senior Analyst, Institutional Research at the College of Southern Nevada plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive analysis and management information regarding the institution's students, faculty, staff, and academic programs. This position supports ongoing planning needs and facilitates data-driven decision-making through proficient data analysis and visualization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide institution-wide analysis and management information about students, faculty, staff, and academic programs.
• Support ongoing planning needs with data analysis that informs decision-making.
• Create data visualizations using platforms such as Tableau, MS Excel, and MS Power BI.
• Design and manage quantitative and qualitative research projects.
• Prepare reports, visuals, and presentations tailored to the target audience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of full-time comparable professional experience.
• Experience creating data visualizations using Tableau, MS Excel, or MS Power BI.
• Proficiency in using SPSS or other statistical software such as R or SAS.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Ability to design and manage research projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a higher education environment.
• Knowledge of student information systems such as PeopleSoft or Banner.
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research platforms like Qualtrics and Nvivo.
