About the position

The Senior Analyst (Knowledge Analyst - Packaging) will play a crucial role in evaluating and driving client growth and sustainability opportunities within a hybrid consulting/contract position. This role involves collaborating with teams to guide the development of clients' portfolios while enhancing productivity and innovation across various functions such as engineering, procurement, and product management. The analyst will work closely with client stakeholders to establish buy-in and improve client capabilities, focusing on analyses like reverse engineering of products and materials cost modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and drive client growth and sustainability opportunities.
  • Guide the creation of clients' current and future portfolios.
  • Drive productivity and innovation across engineering, procurement, and product management functions.
  • Collaborate with teams of analysts and experts, often at client sites.
  • Conduct reverse engineering of products and determine critical product specifications.
  • Perform materials and product cost modeling for design and procurement outcomes.
  • Work with a diverse range of industries including consumer packaged goods, automotive, retail, and medical/pharmaceutical.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of packaging design and manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with laminated film, rigids, and corrugated packaging design and manufacturing.
  • Proficient communication skills, capable of working in multinational environments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and working effectively in ambiguous situations.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent presentation skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related technical degree required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with paper products considered a plus.
  • Experience with top packaging companies such as Berry, Westrock, and Amcor.
