About the position

The Senior Analyst, Net Revenue plays a crucial role in providing in-depth analysis and reporting related to the net revenue accounting function within Intermountain Health. This position is designed for a senior-level analyst who serves as a subject matter expert, performing complex to highly complex analyses that require a robust skill set. The role is 100% remote, although candidates from certain states are not eligible for remote opportunities. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Net Revenue and is expected to possess a higher level of skills in Revenue Cycle analytics than typical financial analyst roles. This position is specifically tailored for individuals who are engaged in functions related to Net Revenue and who demonstrate the necessary skills and proficiency at this level. In this role, the Senior Analyst will demonstrate strong proficiency in the use of the Kodiak RCA (Revenue Cycle Analytics) System. Responsibilities include preparing accounts receivable reserve calculations, which encompass contractual allowances, bad debt, and charity for all assigned business units. The analyst will also produce monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net accounts receivable, conduct analyses of payer performance, and provide various reports specific to Net Revenue performance. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will prepare planning and forecasting models for all assigned business units, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while communicating risks and issues to management in a timely manner. The role also emphasizes the importance of promoting the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhering to service behavior standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and reports related to the net revenue accounting function.

  • Produce monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net accounts receivable.
  • Analyze payer performance and provide various reports specific to Net Revenue performance.
  • Prepare plan and forecast models for all assigned business units.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned business units and accounts.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, communicating risks and issues to managers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of Accounting or Finance experience requiring analytical and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting systems, financial forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in analytics using tools and processes to perform essential duties.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or master's degree.
  • Two (2) years of healthcare, finance, or accounting experience.
  • Previous net revenue experience.
  • CPA or Crowe/Kodiak Certified Net Revenue Analyst (CNRA) designation.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Werner, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, and Workday.
