About the position

The Senior Analyst, Net Revenue plays a crucial role in providing in-depth analysis and reports related to the net revenue accounting function within the organization. This position is designed for a senior-level analyst who serves as a subject matter expert, performing complex to highly complex analyses that require a robust skill set. The role is entirely remote, although candidates from certain states, including California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Washington, are not eligible for remote opportunities at this time. In this position, the Senior Analyst will demonstrate strong proficiency in the Kodiak RCA (Revenue Cycle Analytics) System, which is essential for the role. Responsibilities include preparing accounts receivable reserve calculations, which encompass contractual allowances, bad debt, and charity for all assigned business units. The analyst will also produce monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net accounts receivable, as well as conduct analyses of payer performance. Additionally, the role involves providing various analyses and reports specific to Net Revenue performance, preparing plan and forecast models for all assigned business units, and performing balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned business units and accounts. The Senior Analyst is expected to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, communicating any risks and issues to managers in a timely manner. Furthermore, the analyst will promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health while adhering to service behavior standards. This position requires a high level of skills related to Revenue Cycle analytics, distinguishing it from typical financial analyst roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and reports related to the net revenue accounting function.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in complex to highly complex analysis.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in the Kodiak RCA (Revenue Cycle Analytics) System.
  • Prepare A/R reserve calculations, including contractual allowances, bad debt, and charity for all assigned business units.
  • Produce monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net accounts receivable.
  • Conduct analyses of payer performance.
  • Provide various analyses and reports specific to Net Revenue performance.
  • Prepare plan and forecast models for all assigned business units.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned business units and accounts.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively and communicate risks and issues to managers on a timely basis.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abide by service behavior standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of Accounting or Finance experience in a role requiring analytical thinking and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience working with accounting systems, financial forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytics using tools and processes to perform essential duties.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or master's degree.
  • Two (2) years of healthcare, finance, or accounting experience.
  • Previous net revenue experience.
  • CPA, Crowe/Kodiak Certified Net Revenue Analyst (CNRA) designation.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Werner, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, and Workday.
