About the position

The Regulatory Operations Senior Analyst will manage and optimize operational tasks critical to regulatory compliance, particularly focusing on California Proposition 22 requirements. This role involves ensuring compliance through manual processes while driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recurring operational tasks related to regulatory requirements, including data collection, verification, and processing for compliance.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems and reporting mechanisms to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual regulatory tasks, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to define requirements for automation projects aimed at reducing manual effort and ensuring compliance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and workflows, ensuring they reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Generate reports and insights to help senior leadership understand regulatory performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in regulatory operations, compliance, or a similar role, ideally in the gig economy, delivery network, or technology sectors.
  • Experience managing manual, recurring operational tasks with a demonstrated ability to meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and automation, with an eye for identifying inefficiencies in manual workflows.
  • Proficiency with Excel, data reporting tools, and experience working with engineering teams to drive automation projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across various departments and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of Prop 22 regulations and requirements.
  • Experience working with gig economy platforms or delivery network companies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in other states or regions affecting gig economy workers.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, etc.) for advanced reporting and process automation.
