About the position

We are seeking a Regulatory Operations Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on managing and optimizing recurring operational tasks critical to regulatory compliance, particularly concerning California Proposition 22 requirements. The analyst will ensure compliance through manual processes while driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recurring operational tasks related to regulatory requirements, including the collection, verification, and processing of data for compliance purposes.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems and reporting mechanisms to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met consistently.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual regulatory tasks, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work with engineering and data teams to define requirements for automation projects aimed at reducing manual effort and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and workflows, ensuring they reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Generate reports and insights to help senior leadership understand regulatory performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in regulatory operations, compliance, or a similar role, ideally in the gig economy, delivery network or technology sectors.
  • Experience managing manual, recurring operational tasks, with a demonstrated ability to meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and automation, with an eye for identifying inefficiencies in manual workflows.
  • Proficiency with Excel, data reporting tools, and experience working with engineering teams to drive automation projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across various departments and teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of Prop 22 regulations and requirements.
  • Experience working with gig economy platforms or delivery network companies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in other states or regions affecting gig economy workers.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, etc.) for advanced reporting and process automation.
